Dr. Wendy Gideon is a Board Certified Pediatrician and is one of the founders of Helotes Pediatrics. The practice was opened by Dr. Gideon and Dr. Laura Tamayo in October 2003.

Dr. Gideon was raised in Premont, a small community in South Texas. She is a farm girl at heart. She attended Texas A&I University with a Major in Chemistry, then completed Medical Schools training at Texas A&M University Health Science Center in College Station, Texas. Dr. Gideon relocated to San Antonio to complete her Pediatric Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center.

Being bilingual in English and Spanish has been beneficial in helping develop relationships with her patients and their parents.

When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Gideon enjoys spending time with her husband and her “kids” (all feline). The couple enjoys traveling, hiking, and scuba diving. Ask her about her shark dives! Dr. Gideon is an active member in her community church and finds strength in her faith.
