To Our Patients and Families: A message regarding COVID-19

Helotes Pediatrics is committed to the highest quality service and care that our patients and families have come to know and expect. We pledge to our families that we will continue to monitor and respond to the community changes and concerns caused by COVID-19. We will monitor and follow guidelines set forth by the Center for Disease Control, American Academy of Pediatrics and San Antonio Metro Health Department.

We have all witnessed the fluctuations in case reports and severity of illnesses. We will make every effort to adapt the community needs. As a results, we may need to respond by changing our scheduling protocols in an effort to sustain infection control and avoid person to person transmission. We ask for your patience and understanding.HelotesPediatrician-ChildDoctors

We are also offering select appointments via telehealth. These visits will allow those who do not require an in-office visit to seek care while avoiding any unnecessary risk of exposure.

For those patients who must come in to the office, we will continue to make an effort to minimize the number of patrons in the office and waiting room at any single time. We encourage families to call the office to check-in upon arrival and remain in the vehicle. A staff member will call you in when ready. We also ask that only the child scheduled for the appointment and one parent/guardian enter the office. Other siblings not being seen and other caregivers/parents/guardians are asked to seek alternative arrangements.

Helotes Pediatrics would like to take this opportunity to ensure to our families that we will continue to provide for your child during this time. We ask that our families continue to wash their hands diligently, stay home if ill, cover mouths when coughing/sneezing and practice social distancing

Thank you for understanding and continuing to trust us with the care of your children.
